Painting Star ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile puzzle game developed by an individual developer. This privacy policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

We do not directly collect or store any personal information on our own servers.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Game progress (current stage number)
Settings preferences (sound on/off)
Purchase status (whether ads have been removed)

2. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party SDKs which may collect data according to their own privacy policies:

2-1. Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads:

iOS: Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), subject to your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent on iOS 14 and later.
Android: Google Advertising ID (GAID), declared via the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission required by Android 13+.

If you decline tracking (iOS) or reset/limit your Advertising ID (Android), non-personalized ads will be shown instead.

2-2. RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)

We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage purchase restoration across devices. RevenueCat may collect your platform account identifier and purchase history:

iOS: Transactions are processed by Apple via the App Store; your Apple ID is used for restore.
Android: Transactions are processed by Google via Google Play Billing; your Google account is used for restore.

No payment information (credit card, bank details) is handled or stored by us — all transactions are processed by Apple or Google directly.

3. Platform Privacy Controls

iOS 14+ (App Tracking Transparency): On first launch, the app asks permission to track your activity across other apps and websites. You may change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking results in non-personalized ads.
Android 13+ (Advertising ID): You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads. With a reset or limited Advertising ID, only non-personalized ads will be shown.

4. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding data this app may cause to be collected through third-party SDKs:

Access / Deletion request: You can request information about, or deletion of, any data associated with your device or platform account by emailing us (see Contact section). We will forward such requests to the relevant third-party providers (Google, RevenueCat) where applicable.
Opt out of personalized ads: Use the platform controls described in Section 3.
Reset local data: Use the Reset option in the in-app Settings menu to clear your progress and preferences stored on your device.

5. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
